Emily Hawryschuk, Kerry Defliese earn All-ACC honors

first_img Facebook Twitter Google+ Syracuse attack Emily Hawryschuk and midfielder Kerry Defliese were named to all-ACC teams, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.Hawryschuk earned first-team honors and Defliese earned second-team honors. Both sophomores, the two are among the best players on each side of the field for the Orange.Hawryschuk is Syracuse’s points (56) and goals (48) leader and Defliese ranks second on SU in caused turnovers. In addition to her contributions on defense, Defliese has also added life to a struggling draw unit this season, placing second on the team in draw controls.The two, along with the rest of the Orange, open ACC tournament play Thursday at 5:30 p.m. against North Carolina, which destroyed Syracuse, 20-11, in the teams’ last matchup on April 14. FCP League: Kotoko open 10 points lead after 2-1 over Dwarfs
