Florida Defensive Coordinator Interviewing With The Bengals Today

That search is reportedly taking them into the SEC.According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is interviewing with the Bengals today. Grantham spent last season with the Gators after coming over from Mississippi State with head coach Dan Mullen.The 52-year-old assistant has NFL coaching experience. He was the defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns fro, 2005-07.Grantham also served as the defensive line coach of the Indianapolis Colts (1999-01), Houston Texans (2002-04) and Dallas Cowboys (2008-09).Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is interviewing today for the Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive coordinator job, per source.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 12, 2019Before arriving at Florida, Grantham was the defensive coordinator at Mississippi State in 2017 after working as the associate head coach/defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Louisville (2014-16) and Georgia (2010-13).Grantham is known for employing a 3-4 defense and for his aggressive, blitzing style as a playcaller.The Bengals are in the process of hiring assistant coaches to work under new head coach Zac Taylor.
