first_img SAMPLE APPLICATION COACH                  Touch and other sporting qualifications Touch Football Australia is seeking written applications from suitably qualified, currently accredited and active Assistant Coaches for our Youth Development Program. The appointment is a 1 year term with ongoing assessment and evaluation of the individuals linked to it & their subsequent performance under the direction of the appointed Coach for each Division.  This will incorporate Camps, a Youth Exchange with NZ (Trans Tasman) & the World Cup. An initial process has commenced with a Youth Development Camp & subsequent monitoring of athletes that attended.  Feedback on performance and tracking will continue to occur.  Some of these identified athletes from the camp are to be incorporated in the open camps in the lead up to the World Cup. The National 18’s Tournament & NTL will be the first TID cycle completion with a subsequent tour proposed of New Zealand.  TFA will have implemented a similar system in the Youth Program to that of the Open Program which will ensure the ability to monitor the progress towards the Youth World Cup.Positions available: ·         Boys 20 years:             Assistant Coach·         Girls 20 years:              Assistant Coach·         Mixed 20 years:           Assistant Coach·         Boys 18 years:             Assistant Coach·         Girls 18 years:             Assistant Coach·         Mixed 18 years:          Assistant CoachApplications for these positions close on Monday 18th September 2006 and should be forwarded to:                Game Development Manager                Touch Football Australia                PO Box 9078                DEAKIN ACT 2600Or email: [email protected] or [email protected]:   Applications should be in writing demonstrating the ability to perform the duties detailed in the attached Position Descriptions.  The applicant should also include curriculum vitae.Assistant Coach Appointment Process The positions will be advertised to all Level 2 and 3 TFA accredited Coaches, Constituent Bodies and Permits.Applicants should apply in writing for preferred position(s) stating their claims, including their credentials and qualifications.  All applications should address the “Criteria for the position”. Contact information – telephone, facsimile and e-mail Date of birth Brief history of touch experiencecenter_img Address Full name Assistant Coach – Position DescriptionPrimary Job Purpose: 1.  To facilitate and improve the sporting opportunities and performance of identified elite and potential elite players in the National Youth Squad/Team2.  To assist in developing and carrying out the organisation’s elite program objectives, strategies and programs.3.  Assist the Coach to the National Youth Squad/Team.Key Duties:1.  To liaise with the National Performance Analyst, National Coaching Director, Elite Programs Director, National Game Development Manager and Medical Coordinator and appointed coaching staff to ensure implementation of National Technical Policy.2.   Assist the National Coach or assistant to perform his / her duties in the lead up to, and at tournaments and tours. 3.  Consult with the National coach or assistant to ensure that training programs are being followed.4.  Assist in the preparation and coaching of the National Youth Squad/Team at international events as required.5.   Liaise with the National coach on matters relating to individual members of the National Youth Squad/Team in relation to training, fitness, fundraising and player conduct.6.   Monitor members of the National Youth Squad/Team in consultation with the National coach or assistant.7.   Assist the National Coach or Assistant to maintain written player profiles, monitor performance and provide individual player feedback.Issues and Challenges:1.   Ensure a national direction and elite focus on the development of the National Youth players.2.   Maintain and demonstrate effective communications with media, marketing, management and administration personnel.3.  Understand and respond to the differing needs of the players and coaching staff.Criteria for Position: 1.  Minimum current NCAS Level 2 Touch coach as approved by the National Technical Panel.2.  Must display a national perspective at all times.3.  Must be able to provide leadership to National Youth Team/Squad and the National Youth team/squad members, TID Selectors and NTL coaches.4.  Must have an excellent knowledge of the International Rules of Touch.5.  Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within the TFA Coach’s “Code of Conduct.”6.  Must be aware of and have detailed knowledge of all TFA Technical Policies and Guidelines.7.  Demonstrated oral and written communication skills together with good inter-personal relationship skills.8.  Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure whilst still achieving objectives.Key Performance Indicators:     1.   Performance at International level tournaments.    2.   Improved performance of National Youth Squad/Team and the National youth Squad/ team members.    3.   Positive feedback to and from National Youth Squad/Team and the National Youth Squad/Team members.Assessment of performance by the National Coach and Assistant and National Performance Analyst and National Coaching Director.
