West Indian stars continued to rule the roost in the Indian Premier League auctions yet again. In the 2019 IPL Player Auction, Carlos Brathwait was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 5 crore while Shimron Hetmyer sold for Rs 4.2 crore to Royal Challengers Bangalore.The IPL is dominated by West Indian stars who have turned in some sterling performances over the years. Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Smith have all played defining roles for their teams over the years.Gayle was bought by Kings XI Punjab last year and he hammered a hundred in the early days of the 2018 IPL. Vihari is currently in Australia and played two gutsy knocks in the Perth Test and impressed several experts.Meanwhile, the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Brendon McCullum, Chris Woakes and Martin Guptill were unsold in the first round. They will, however, be recalled into the auction pool later in the evening.
