Victim identified in fatal hit-and-run

first_imgLA PUENTE – Officials have released the name of a 70-year-old Rosemead man who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver last week. Roman Urrutia was pronounced dead at the scene, said Los Angeles County coroner’s investigator Jerry McKibben. Urrutia was crossing northbound across Amar Road at Aileron Avenue about 7:30 p.m. when he was fatally struck by a vehicle driving west on Amar Road, said California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Porter. One described is as dark-colored Honda-type vehicle, while another said it was a large, black vehicle. The vehicle would have minor to moderate damage on its front end and hood from the impact, Porter said.
